2016-04 Chinese joint venture well on course

Early in April the general management and the manager responsible for China business went to the Middle Kingdom.

Since 2008 the sheet metal manufacturer in Böblingen is connected to the joint-venture BVS Chenghua in Jinan/ eastern China. On-site the visitors from Böblingen convinced themselves of the healthy order situation, which considerably increased compared to the year before. Harald Steiner and Yulai Zhou, directors of both companies, assess the stable business development of BVS Chenghua and are satisfied with common projects, in spite of weakened Chinese growth rates. “BVS Chenghua generates around one quarter of turnover through BVS Blechtechnik in Böblingen, e.g. with customers of medical technology, electrical industry and information technology”, confirms Harald Steiner. The bulk of sales stems of business in china, mainly through automotive industry, with orders about 2 million sheet metal parts and sheet metal housings per project. Therefore single tools and more and more progressive tools are manufactured for each order.
The 84 employee strong connected Chinese company is still investing in production automation, for example a stamping machine and a welding robot started running last year.
